how does penguin survive in winter?

Penguins are type of birds which can be found them in polar regions, that is in Arctic and Antarctic regions. The weather in these areas are extreme cold conditions .During summer season the temperature will be around -5 to 0 degree and for winter it will -30 degrees, which is a difficult task to survive. This bird can live in both land and sea. For this penguins has both ,thin layer of feather and blubber or layer of fat. The feather layer helps them to keep warm in ice glaciers but when it is in the water , the blubber which insulates from cold sea water and stabilizes its body temperature. The thick layer of fat in its body helps to maintain its body temperature ( 38 degrees) and remain active. During the incubation process, the mother penguins lays the eggs and give it to the father penguins. Here the female penguins leave the place for hunting and get some food for itself and for its family also. The wind speed is about 200 mph and -40 degrees in winter seasons. Male penguins, keep the eggs between their legs to keep it warm. During extreme cold conditions, penguins form groups of circle so that they can keep themselves and their eggs as warm as possible.
