Modem

Modem comes from the word Modulation and Demodulation. It acts as an telephone for the computers to communicate throughout the world. Here computer posses digital signals and modem converts it in to analog for transmission. From this internet is born, it enable us to share information around the world. On the other end of modem , it uses telephone line to communicate. These lines will be connected to master router and then to a tower. The digital signal from the computer is modulated to an analog signal and then given to a router. The server on the other side will respond to this signal and starts transmitting the data. The transmission of signals are usually measured in baud rates. A cable (RS-232) is used to communicate between computer and modem. Modem can carry many bytes of data at a very fast speed in much lesser time. A series of internal circuits present inside the modem which will do the work of modulation and demodulation. These transmission of signals will obey IEEE standard rules and regulations. Now days modem with wide fidelities are available so that people with laptop(Wi-Fi) can access their internet in that range, irrespective of the motion. That is person with the laptop can work wherever ,if there is a wide fidelity network. Broadband services will enhance the speed and large data transmission requiring small amount of time.
