What Kind of Places Become National Parks-Yellow Stone National Park.

In America certain areas of great natural beauty or historic interest have been set aside as national parks. They offer much pleasure to people who enjoy the wonders of nature or want to learn about America's history. America's national parks are vast. Yellowstone National Park alone is almost twice as large as the state of Delaware. It is impossible to cover most of them by foot. To see the sights visitors usually travel by car or bus, or in some cases by aeroplane or helicopter. Notices and directional signs in the parks use international symbols as well as English to make it easy for visitors from foreign lands to find their way around.
