Why Can Chimpanzees Do Tricks?

Chimpanzees are very clever animals. They can also be tamed very easily. If we teach them how to ride a bicycle they will soon be able to ride it well. They can quickly remember the things they are taught. That's why they are clever at tricks. Apes, which include the chimpanzee and gorilla, are among the most intelligent species in the animal kingdom. This is because they not only have larger brains than other animals, but he section of the brain concerning intelligence is second only to man's in size. Chimpanzees can figure out how to use tools and other implements without being taught. For example they will make use of a stem of grass when they raid the nests that ants have built. They push the stem of grass through the ant-hill entrance, scoop out the ants with it and eat them.
