Why Do We Put Water Plants In a Goldfish Bowl?

Because the plants give off oxygen. Goldfish need oxygen to live. If there's not enough of it in the water, the goldfish will die. Water plants give fish the oxygen they need. Also the goldfish lay their eggs among the plants. They lay the eggs in the spring or summer and attach they to the plants. So we should be sure there are plenty of water plants in the goldfish bowl, especially in the spring and summer. Further, they give the weaker fish a place to hide. There are different kinds and sizes of goldfish. Usually the smaller ones are weaker than the larger ones. The weaker fish can swim away and hide in the water plants when bigger fish bully them.
